Orion Online

Orion Online started out as an experimental Internet Web Site back in October 1997. Since then it had grown into a well respected and well visited website. Unfortunately, the site was abruptly kicked out of service and lay dormant for a few years. Today, the site has been reborn and we shall be using the site to promote what we do best to fellow Scouts around the World. Orion is a Scout Troop based in Billericay, Essex, UK. Orion Troop is one of many units that form the 3rd Billericay Scout Group. This very successful group includes a number of units, including Beavers and Cubs. Orion Troop has recognised that the Internet has become an important part of our lives and can be used to share valuable information with other troops about the activities which the troop gets involved in. By sharing new ideas between troops, we can keep scouting interesting and exciting. Why the Internet? Scouting is about providing scouts with life skills which will serve them well in the future. By providing scouts with the knowledge and the tools to use and publish on the Internet, it will stand them in good stead in the many years to come.
